CLEANING FUNDAMENTALS

Keeping equipment and processing spaces clean is the best preventative maintenance action in order to keep operations in peak condition and maximize the service life of your equipment. In this guide, we discuss the most important things to keep in mind when designing a cleaning validation protocol for your cannabis processing, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.

What Is GMP Cleaner?

  1. Pre-rinse with warm or hot water to remove any loose buildup.
  2. Apply Step 1 Cleaner and allow it to penetrate the target buildup for 10 - 15 minutes.
  3. For surfaces with thicker buildups, try a plastic razor, soft-bristled brush, or cloth to help remove the soil.
  4. Finish by rinsing with warm or hot water. For stubborn buildups, repeat the cleaning steps, targeting the problem area(s) until the soil is fully removed.
